Kuwait court auctions sold 18 properties for KD 9.63 million in September, 11% above their valuations
The Execution Department at the Ministry of Justice listed 67 properties in September. Eighteen sold for a combined KD 9.63 million against opening valuations of KD 8.66 million, 11.23% more. Thirty-eight found no bidder and were carried forward. The October list is already out, with lots in Al-Khiran, Kaifan, Qortuba and Khalidiya.

The September result
According to figures from the Execution Department at the Ministry of Justice reported by Times Kuwait on 5 October 2026, 67 properties were listed in the September auction sessions. Eighteen were sold for a combined KD 9.63 million. Their opening valuations added up to KD 8.66 million, so bidding added about KD 970,000, or 11.23%. Some lots closed more than 28% above their opening price.
What did not sell
Forty-two properties were postponed: 38 because nobody bid, three to correct the advertisement (in Al-Shaab, Al-Qadisiyah and Sabah Al-Salem) and one for other reasons. Seven were cancelled, five by decision of the competent authority and two after the parties settled, including properties in Al-Waha and Sabah Al-Ahmad.
How it compares
In the first quarter of 2026 the same auctions sold 41 properties for KD 34.5 million, up 11.4% on the KD 31 million of the previous comparable period, according to Al Jarida. September's KD 9.63 million from 18 lots is therefore a little below the first-quarter monthly pace of about KD 11.5 million.
October is already listed
The Ministry of Justice announcements page lists the October sessions, from 5 to 26 October, mostly at 9:00 am in Hall 5 on the eighth floor of the new Palace of Justice. The areas include Al-Khiran, Kaifan, Qortuba, Khalidiya, Salam, Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Farwaniya. Each announcement gives the area, the session date and time, and opens to the full property description.
What Al Mithaq adds
We read the auction lists every month, and when a lot in Al-Khiran or on the coast is worth your attention we tell you before the session. If you would rather buy land directly, our Sabah Al Ahmad Sea City page takes the phase, size and budget you want and our Khiran team calls back the same working day with the plots that are actually available.
